Helping Schools Reopen Safely
The Safety Center of American and the New Jersey Public Charter School Association have partnered to support schools as they reopen their buildings for in-person learning during the COVID19 pandemic. The strategy and services developed offer schools a turnkey safety system that includes access to discount PPE, safety plan consulting, communication strategies and an implementation roadmap. All member schools who opt into this plan will receive:
Bulk discount prices for all necessary PPE
Templates for a public facing communication strategy regarding the Safety Plan
Safety protocols and proper masks utilization training for school, teachers and kids
A step-by-step roadmap for PPE storage, distribution, safe usage and disposal
An expert partner on-call to support integrating this into your overall plans

It is critical to PAUSE and realize our country and communities are in the midst of an emergency of epic proportions. PTSD is real, present and affecting everyone. Trauma is evolving in all of us, and people's reactions are on-edge and unpredictable.

What does the Face Mask Safety Plan entail?
Consistency: Every day, anyone who enters the school building will go through the same safety protocol. They will line up at an appropriate social distance, receive a storage bag to transfer their personal face mask into, then sanitize their hands and receive a new, individually packaged 3-ply face mask to wear for the day.
Access: Schools can purchase, in bulk, individually packaged face masks, hand sanitizers, alcohol wipes, storage bags, biohazard waste bags and door hanger bags, packaged and designed for easy storage and seamless distribution. We will warehouse, free of charge, all extra supplies, and provide regular shipments to ensure enough materials are always available.
Quality: The 3-ply masks come in youth or adult sizes, are FDA certified and are individually packaged to prevent transmission during storage or distribution.
Preparedness: Every month, schools have the option to provide teachers and administrators a personal Face Mask Kit with enough face masks, hand sanitizers, latex gloves and alcohol wipes to support their safety in school or at home.
Contingency: Within the initial PPE order, there will be enough supplies for each classroom to maintain extra face masks, hand sanitizers and alcohol wipes to support daily additional needs that may arise. .
Communication: Participating schools will be provided with a variety of signage, educational posters and an implementation plan to ensure efficient distribution and instructions are clearly visible.
Training: Participating schools will gain access to an online portal with training materials, instructional videos, templates for website and email communication about the plan.
Resources: Participating schools will gain access to our catalog of all necessary PPE and safety supplies to purchase

In order to expedite the adoption of our Face Mask Safety Plan, we have streamlined the process and steps necessary to quickly purchase your materials, announce your plan and prepare for opening day.

Fill out our initial onboarding survey to provide basic information on your school and set up an onboarding phone call with our team. We will send a sample kit of our products to schools looking to participate.
The onboarding call will get you into our system, assess your schools PPE needs, place your order, and determine what other products or services you require.
Schools who opt-in will immediately gain access to our online Safety Plan Portal, which includes:
Templates for web and email communications to announce and explain the plan
Step-by-step guides to implementing your mask storage and distribution plan
Free file downloads of all necessary signage and educational materials
Training materials for students, faculty and families
Priority access to our online product catalog for additional PPE needs.
